IT WAS A HOOT OF A WEEK!

DELICIOUS! GOOD! EXCELLENT! AWESOME! EXTREMELY GOOD! SPECTACULAR! SCRUMPTIOUS!AMAZING! TASTY! DOUBLE GOOD!

This is how we felt about the owl cookies we made today. We had a heart shaped cookie cutter that we used to make a barn owl cookie. We used flour, brown sugar, icing, chocolate chips and butter to make the cookies. After they were made, we were excited to eat them. Here is the recipe we used:

Shortbread
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 cup butter
2 cups of flour
325 C 10 minutes or until golden brown

Thank you to Myles' mom for helping out in our room today. :)

We had a guest speaker come into our class this week. His name was Mr. Duncan. He brought in a real owl, named Nemo, into our class. Nemo is a long-eared owl. Nemo flew around the room and the class was so excited. Mr. Duncan made different owl calls and he showed us a video with owls in it. Jasmyn thought Nemo was cute. Daniel thought Nemo was nice. Nicole liked it when Nemo made a sound.
