Scaredy Squirrel Creations!

  This week at school, we made our own Scaredy Squirrels. We used paper, tissue paper, foam, yarn, felt, sharpies and other decorations. After creating our squirrels, we named them. Gerri named her squirrel, "Scaredy Gerri Squirrel". Brandi named her squirrel, "Scaredy Meow Squirrel. Stella named her squirrel, "Scaredy Yellow Squirrel.   David named his, "Scaredy Dude Squirrel and Cass named his, "Scaredy Hockey Squirrel".        

   Afterwards, we wrote about our squirrels saying what they are scared about. Nate's squirrel is afraid of losing his brain, Myles' squirrel is afraid of zombies and Maggie's is afraid of old bald people. We also wrote about where our squirrels live, what they eat, what they like and what they look like. 

We organized our ideas first into a booklet and then created our rough copy. Mrs. Pilat showed us how to revise and edit it. We have to read it over 5 times before going to see her. Our friends would help edit our work before going to see Mrs. Pilat.

We will be introducing our squirrels to our families at conferences.
