Becoming Wolves

     It was a busy day today in Room 38. The grade 3's went to their swimming lessons. Jasmyn thought her lesson was really fun. Braden and Jackson were surprised to find out that the water was salt water. Jackson got a mouthful and he said "BLAH!". While the grade 3's were swimming, the grade 2's played math games with Room 40. It was fun!

    Mrs. Pilat showed us a game called "Wolf Quest". The link for the game is on our blog. We become a wolf and we have to survive living in Yellowstone National Park. Our wolf, Wolfie, got attacked by a grizzly bear and died. Another wolf also attacked us twice. Aryanna thought the game was cool. Mitchel thought it was good. David wondered why we couldn't eat a coyote. Braeden thought it was awkward because a rabbit was faster than Wolfie. Wolfie was injured though. Gerri thought it was sad when Wolfie died. Poor Wolfie.


   We also played another wolf survival game. We were a wolf pack and we had to survive. Some years we had pups die and other years we died of hunger. However, we had years where we did well and had new pups every year. After 15 years, our pack survived with 16 wolves.
